Happy New Year! I hope you have a wonderful , healthy, an prosperous 2018!
I have been missing in action for a few months. I’ve been taking a new agent real estate training course with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices and I’ve also been working as a seasonal employee at Macy’s.
My blog post is two-fold: online shopping taking a toll on brick and mortar stores and the flu epidemic.
Online Shopping
It is amazing how many people returned merchandise to the store after the holidays with online purchases. No one really buys in store anymore and its a wonder why so many businesses are going under. I had customers ask me if Macy’s was going to close. I mentioned that I didn’t think our store was going to close. However, Macy’s was closing a bunch of smaller not-so-busy stores. So, question: where are future generations going to work and where will you be able to try on clothes and shoes?! And makeup/cosmetics!
The Flu Epidemic
Our store was inundated with customers who were sick and coughing without covering their mouth and touching the signature pad/card reader. And we wonder why there is a flu epidemic in San Diego! Question: Would you use hand sanitizer or wash your hands? And should people stay home when they are really sick?
Stay healthy!
Hugs.
