Apple

Apple contains numerous enzymes that nourish the skin and help to keep it hydrated. It’s also great at firming the skin and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Apple is an extremely versatile fruit and can be eaten in numerous ways. It’s a satisfying snack when eaten on its own and it also tastes great when added to smoothies.

Avocado

Avocado is packed full of healthy fats, vitamin E and B vitamins. The healthy fats support the production of healthy skin cells which are essential for brighter, more vibrant looking skin. The B vitamins also keep your skin healthy and protect against various skin disorders while vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant which reduces the visible signs of aging.

Avocado can be eaten on its own as a tasty and filling snack. Alternatively, you can use it to create guacamole which is a perfect side dish for many different meals.

Blueberries

Blueberries are widely recognized as a superfood and can enhance almost all areas of your health, and your skin is no exception to this rule. These small, juicy fruits are one of the richest sources of antioxidants you’ll find and these antioxidants will protect your skin from harmful free radicals that accelerate the visible signs of aging. They’re also an excellent source of vitamin C which promotes the production of collagen in the body – a connective tissue which helps the skin maintain its elasticity and youthful appearance.

When it comes to eating berries, you have lots of options. They can be eaten on their own as a snack, combined with yogurt to add flavor or even used as part of a berry based fruit salad.

Kiwi

Kiwis are rich in antioxidants which help to keep the skin firm and reduce inflammation of the skin. They’re also packed full of vitamin C which as discussed above, helps your skin stay elastic and free of wrinkles.

Kiwis taste great on their own and are a snack that you can keep with you and enjoy anywhere. You can also use them to flavor yogurt and give it a sweeter, more refreshing taste.

Papaya

Papaya is rich in numerous skin-supporting nutrients. First, it contains high levels of vitamin A which helps your skin stay moist and retain water. It’s also rich in vitamin C which keeps your skin elastic as you age and protects against fine lines and wrinkles. Finally, it contains plenty of vitamin E which helps your skin stay youthful by protecting it from free radicals.

Papaya tastes great raw and can also be combined with other fruits for a zesty fruit salad. If you’re feeling particularly adventurous, try combining it with cilantro, jalapeno peppers and ginger to create a tasty salsa.
